Manchester gained attention in the 19th century, when it was at the heart of the industrial revolution. The city was perfect for the textile trade as it was humid, as well as a capable supply of soft water. The city’s rivers also generated water power that ran the machinery in the mills. the ready supply of coal and the transport system of roads & railways also helped it to become an industrial centre. because of this, countless mills started springing up throughout the city.

Manchester’s mills still exist today, although a number of them have been changed into flats & offices. thank you to the 1996 ira bomb that destroyed a lotof the city centre, Manchester also boasts plenty modern structures, too.

There are loads of stuff to do in Manchester. From gorgeous green spaces to insightful museums, you can’t be bored in this city.

One of the best museums in manchester is URBIS, which is the museum of urban life. The museum has countless permanent collections, in addition to frequent touring exhibits. recent exhibitions have been on gardening and the fashion designer matthew williamson.

Manchester is a famous location for shopping lovers, because it has a wide range of shops to suit any budget. From designer outlets for instance harvey nicks & dkny, to high-street outlets for instance new look, you will find everything you need in this city.

For more outlets, you will be pleased to know that the huge trafford centre is just a short bus ride or drive away. This huge mall has 280 outlets & is one of the biggest shopping centres in the uk.

There are plenty of other sites to see and enjoy. For example, Valencia is home to several museums, including several art museums, several history museums, a bullfighting museum, and an incredible science museum.

The Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciencies in Valencia, Spain.

The science museum, called the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciencies (City of Arts and Sciences), houses five main parts. The first is an opera and music house with four main halls. Next is the Oceanografic, which is a complete oceanographic zoo, including many aquariums. This is the biggest aquatic exhibit in all of Europe and hosts a variety of different types of ocean life. Not only does the Oceanografic showcase life from the nearby Mediterranean Sea, it also shows penguins and belugas from the Polar Regions. There is also wildlife from the Red Sea area.

The Prince Philip Science Museum is great for children, and shows some of the laws of nature. The museum uses a hands-on approach to help children learn all about science. L’Hemisferic is the Spanish name for a gigantic IMAX 3D theater where visitors can really feel like part of the movies they watch. Finally, there is L’Umbracle, which is a beautiful botanical garden and walkway for guests.

Valencia, Spain’s Beaches.

For those inclined to spend their Valencia vacation on the beach, there are three primary beaches; playa las Arenas, playa de Malvarossa, and playa de Patacona. Nearest to the city, beachgoers will find the playa las Arenas. This is the area of the beach with bars and pubs, and has a promenade for those wishing to walk along the beach without getting too much sand in their shoes. This area is also the area where visitors can find hotel accommodations. Heading north, visitors will reach the playa de Malvarossa. This is a sandy beach, suitable for family swimming, building sand castles, and playing beach volleyball. The fine sand makes it a really great place for walking barefoot. The playa de Malvarossa is the most popular beach in Valencia, and it quite full during prime season.

Those looking for a quieter, more private beach, can opt for the playa de Patacona. The playa de Patacona is farthest north, and is quite far from the city center. As a result, it is slightly less popular. Tourists who are looking for a more peaceful beach without quite so many children running underfoot will find the longer travel distance worthwhile. Don’t expect a private beach, though. There are still plenty of sunbathers and swimmers at the playa de Patacona.

Unfortunately, when people visit the US, they always go to the most cliche places like New York or Los Angeles. It’s a real shame because many of you are not aware not of the Wild Adventures available across the States but also plenty of other great places you can visit. My favorite destination remains Atlanta. Atlanta has more attractions and unforgettable places than you can imagine yourself. While I visited a few other places in Georgia, nothing can be compared to Atlanta at night, especially if you look from a high view point of any of the buildings. It does not matter if you live in the States or if you are a tourist coming from abroad and looking for an interactive destination to see in the Georgia state, you can simply book Atlanta tours online and pamper yourself and your family with a beautiful vacation.

Be sure to visit the midtown of Atlanta, this is a fantastic place to spend time at, which is exactly what I did when I was there last time and still didn’t know the city well nor could orientate in the streets structure. You will see the tallest building the WORLD - Bank of America Plaza, this building is over 1000m tall and you can stand right near it, taking photos of the world’s highest built house. You sure will enjoy yourself and have plenty to see in Atlanta. Remember, even the legendary Scarlet from “Gone with the Wind” been there!

So, hello NY!

Let me start by saying: This post is written by European, so my perspective, as a tourist, might not be very objective. I visited USA only once, so any comments are welcome!
So, we all know that holiday accommodation in New York is always very hard to find, and to find something at a reasonable price is even harder. Manhattan is the most popular region for tourists, with Times Square been the heart of the district.

The city has four distinct seasons, ranging from freezing cold winters to quite hot summers. Spring and Autumn are often regarded as the best time to visit as it is not too cold or too hot.

A lot of Europeans come across during the cold winter months to shop and are amazed at the beautiful blue sky but surprised at how cold it is. If they are lucky and there is a snow fall, they will flock to Central Park and join the locals sledding and some even ski on Pilgrim Hill. Most tourists try to avoid New York in the summer when temperatures are often unbearable, however the temperature at easter is often perfect.

Tourists like to visit Fifth Avenue where there are several parades held there each year and also free concerts. St Patrick’s Day Parade consists of tens of thousands of locals covering the entire area in a sea of green costumes and floats on March 17th each year. The parade starts at Fifth Avenue and 44th Street at 11am each year.

During May they celebrate Martin Luther King; in fact most New Yorkers like to celebrate with parades most months and many of these parades start on Fifth Avenue.

The city offers a wide range of accommodation catering for most price ranges. A new popular form of accommodation is the renting of holiday apartments and homes in the heart of the city. Holiday accommodation here is often very hard to get hold of.

New York is also famous for the large number of restaurants that it has. It is said that there are over 17,000 and just about every imaginable taste is catered for. New Yorkers are hard people to please when it comes to their food and as a result restaurants offer excellent service and quality of food to please them. New Yorkers also like good value for money and in order for restaurants to survive, they have had to offer extremely good value for money.

The city also has a great selection of antique shops and art galleries. It is regarded as the entertainment capital of the world with ballet, dance, concerts, opera and theater. Most tourists come back to New York year after year as the City has so much for them to see and do.

There are also plenty of coffee houses, grills, steak houses and Chinese restaurants offering a very good choice of cheap food with quick friendly service. For people in a rush, New York offers some of the best fast food outlets in the world. It does not matter if it is day or night, you can always get something to eat twenty four hours a day in New York.

Most coffee houses are also open twenty four hours a day in New York and many serve hamburgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. There is something special about having a strong black coffee in New York sitting in a Coffee House watching the rest of the City go about their work as you relax taking in the atmosphere.

As well as having some fabulous shops on Fifth Avenue (Most of the famous department stores are based here), New York is also home to Trump Tower. It is worth a visit to Trump Tower just to experience the sheer elegance and opulence of the boutiques.

New York truly is the city that never sleeps, but if you’re there on vacation you most certainly will want a good nights sleep. Holiday homes and holiday villas are both available for rent in and around the city, but your best bet for quality holiday accommodation is a hotel.
